About:

Born in Peru into a musical family, Giorgio started playing percussion at the age of 3. Growing up playing Bongos, Cajon, Congas, Timbales, Drums, minor important Percussion and styles such as afro Peruvian music, Afro cuban music, Brazilian music, Jazz, latin jazz, Funk, Reggae, Andean Music, Middle eastern music, Rock. At the age of 13 Giorgio moved to Australia, and on 2005 he finished his Bachelor of music (jazz) at the Australian National University in Canberra. Giorgio has been playing professionally since the age of 5, playing around Peru, Chile, Australia. He played for bands such as Mi Tierra, Reyes De la Onda, Mucho Mambo, Krillo Collective, Son Veneno, Oscar Jimenez, Watusi, Mark Levine, Bare Foot Divas, Ministry of Sound Orquestra, Camino, James Ryan Quartet, ANU Faculty Jazz Band. In 2008 Giorgio joined international Dance Show, Burn the floor touring the world until 2017. In 2016 he recorded his Trio Album (Drummer of God) Latin Jazz album.

Anecdotes:

What was the first instrument you ever picked up? 
“The first instrument I learned was the Peruvian instrument Cajon (the box)”.

What has been a stand out in your music career?
“Stand out gig was when my family band –  Mi Tierra won the first Clave contra Clave Latin band competition in Australia”.

What inspires you to sit down and make music?
“To keep music flowing relaxed meaningful I train martial arts because they come from the same soul”.
